The Smith lab is actively recruiting passionate scientists, and looking to fill positions at the undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels.  Additionally, we are seeking to hire a lab manager/research technical specialist, that can aid in our goals of building in vitro models of embryonic and liver development.

Graduate Students (MS/Ph.D. level) who have been admitted to UCI’s Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering program and are interested in joining the lab should directly email Dr. Smith.  If you are interested in our research and a prospective graduate student from an affiliated outside department such as Biological Sciences or Biomedical Engineering, do not hesitate to email Dr. Smith.

We are looking for a Lab Manager/ Research Technician that has demonstrated proficiency in either animal experiments or molecular biology techniques. Candidates with a post-baccalaureate degree that have experience with stem cell or organoid culture are preferred.
